Abstract:
To obtain a higher decontamination factor and the low corrosion, it is necessary to select the appropriate decontamination process. The material used in this study was stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9Ti and alloy Inconel 690, which were prepared as simulative oxide test pieces for oxide dissolution and corrosion tests. The results show that the effect of pre-oxidation treatment in acidic potassium permanganate solution is better than that in alkaline potassium permanganate solution. Through macroscopic and microscopic observation, four different decontamination processes did not result in severe corrosion and matrix damage on 1Cr18Ni9Ti and Inconel 690; NP-CITROX decontamination process is better than other processes.
