Abstract:
Electrochemical behaviors of U(Ⅵ) with different concentrations in propyltrimethylammonium bis(trifluoromethyl sulfonyl)imide(N

2) hydrophobic ionic liquid were investigated by cyclic voltammetry(CV). The electrochemical reduction of U(Ⅵ) in N
1113NTf
2 was identified to be reduced to U(Ⅳ) in the first step, which is controlled by not only diffusion but also charge transfer kinetic. Then, U(Ⅳ) was further reduced to U(Ⅲ). The product of potentiostatic electrolysis deposition on the surface of stainless steel electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) method, which show that the deposit is UO
