Abstract:
P(AA-co-AM)/FA super water absorbent(SWA) composite have been prepared using
γ-irradiation from a
60Co source. The effects of the absorbed dose, amount of fulvic acid on the swelling behavior of the SWA as well as water-retention rate were studied. The structure of SWA was investigated by FTIR and SEM. The results show that the SWA can absorb 437 times in deionized water and absorb 61 times in
w=0.9% NaCl solution. The water-retention rate of the SWA is 54% in an environmental temperature of 60 ℃ for 12 h. The SWA which improves the swelling ratio and retention properties, overcome the problems in traditional method of more serious pollution and higher energy consumption. The polymer is suitable for preparing agriculture and forestry super water absorbent.
