Abstract:
This paper is aimed to synthesize a high-performance and high-selectivity adsorption material for the removal of heavy metal ions and the extraction of uranium resources from sea water. TiO
2/SFP material was obtained via the recombination of natural sunflower pollen and TiO
2 particles by the sol-gel method. The synthetic materials were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, EDS and XPS. The uranium adsorption performance was tested. The maximum adsorption capacity of the material is 215.7 mg/g when the pH value is 6.0. The adsorption of uranium in solution corresponds to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The adsorption isotherm confirms to the Langmuir model. It is an endothermic and spontaneous process. The removal rate of uranium under simulated seawater is more than 90%.
