Abstract:
A simple and sensitive method for the measurement of DBP and MBP in 30%TBP/kerosene was established by using ion chromatography. DBP and MBP was back extracted from organic phase to aqueous phase by deionized water, then the sample can be determined by ion chromatography without the interference of organic phase. The standard curves of DBP and MBP show good linearity with
r2=0.999, with DBP concentration in the range of 0.01-6.0 mmol/L and MBP concentration in the range of 0.02-2.5 mmol/L. The detection limits are 5.0 μmol/L for DBP and 4.0 μmol/L for MBP. The proposed method was utilized to detect the DBP produced by irradiation 30%TBP/kerosene. The results show that the recovery of DBP is 92%-96%, and
sr is 2.1%(
n=6). This method is simple, accurate and highly sensitive, and it can be used to determine the DBP and MBP concentration in 30%TBP/kerosene.
