Abstract:
The use of 3, 3,10,10-tetraethyl-l, 2-dithio-5, 8-diazacyclodecanehydroc-hloride (BAT-TE) as a new ligand for the preparation of 113mIn-BAT-TE is investigated. The chelating reaction of BAT-TE with 113mln, by mixing 113mInCl3 and BAT-TE in a buffer solution of pH 5, gives a labelling yield of 98%. This simple and rapid synthetic method is very suitable for 113mIn which has a short physical half life of 99.5 minutes. The stability constant K and net charge X of the complex 113mIn-BAT-TE are determined to be lgK= 12.4,X= + 1. The biodistribution of 113mIn-BAT-TE in mice exhibits high myocardial uptake and selectivity. It shows that 113mIn-BAT-TE is a promising candidate as a new myocardial imaging agent.
