Abstract: In our work uranium contents in the filtered and nnfiltered specimens of some reservoir water, spring water and water from natural protective area at Dongting lake valley were measured by fission track analytical technique.Ranges of uranium contents of the reservoir (42 specimens from 10 reservoirs), spring (13 specimens from 12 springs) and natural protective area (14 specimens from 10 sections)are 0.09-2.07,0.005-1.08 and 0.005-0.32μg·/1-1 respectively. The experimental results have been discussed briefly in the light of geographical environment and compared with those previously published.
