Abstract:
In this paper, the lithium isotope separation ability in extraction process of LiSCN with C6H5I solution containing 4-methylbenzo-15-crown-5(MBl5C5) has been determined to be 2.6×10-2 at 15?℃, which is the same as determined using 4-tert-butylbenzo-15-crown-5 (CR) .The solubility of MB15C5 in C6H6I has been examined to be higher than that of CR. This advantage of MB15C5 provides the possibility to go on with the extraction in high concentration systems. An approach for regulating distribution coefficients and separation factors in these systems is discussed.
