Abstract:
The cumulative yields of 95Zr, 97Zr, 99Mo, 103Ru, 106Ru, 143Ce, 144Ce, 140Ba and 147Nd in the fission of 235U induced by neutrons of 14.9 MeV are determined absolutely by radio-chemical method. The 14.9 MeV neutrons are produced in the T(d, n) 4He reaction using the 600 kV Cockroft-Walton type accelerator. A rotating tritium target is used and the neutron flux is 2×1010n/s. An enriched uranium 235U(90%) is used as material of sample and standard targets. The absolute fission rate of the sample target is measured by double fission ionization chamber. Details of chemical procedure are given in a previous publication2.The cumulative yields determined by the above mentioned method are listed in following table:The errors given in the table are total errors including statistical and systematic errors.
