Abstract:
AVERAGE LINEAR MOMENTUM TRANSFER FROM THE INTERACTION OF COPPER WITH IONSWU DINGOING;Ll WENXIN;SUN TONGYU;SUNRULIN;ZHAO LILI;YIN XINMIN;JING GENMING(Institute of modern Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Lanzhou 730000)LIZE;JING KEXING;LIXINHUA(China Institute of Atomic Energy,Beijing 102413)ABSTRACT In the reaction of 20-46MeV/u with Cu,the mean forward recoil ranges of some 41residual nuclei are measured with thick target-thick catcher foil techniques in conjunction withoff-line r-ray spectroscopy. These data are used to obtain the average linear momentum transferintegrated over all impact parameters. The average linear momentum transfer is found to attain amaximum value of 155MeV/c at 27.5 MeV/u. The mean excitation energies at higherbombording energies reached about 103MeV,corresponding to a nuclear temperature of3.5MeV.
