Abstract:
Using 30%
n-octanol/
n-dodecane as diluent, the extraction behavior of Am(Ⅲ) and Eu(Ⅲ) from nitric acid solution was studied with 2,6-bis-(5,6-di-isopropyl1,2,4-triazin-3-yl)pyridine (
iPr-BTP). By investigating the influences of the concentration of nitric acid, the concentration of
iPr-BTP, diluent composition and the contact time and the concentration of NaNO
3 on the distribution ratio of Am(Ⅲ) and Eu(Ⅲ), the composition of the extraction complexes and the extraction reaction equation were deduced. The extraction reaction equation may be expressed as follows:

iPr-BTP is higher than that of extracting europium.
