Abstract:
The atmospheric tracer gas CD4 is synthesized by methanation of CO2, using NiMo/γAl2O3 as catalyst. The effects of reaction conditions, such as temperature, volume ratio of D2 to CO2, and loading of catalyst, on the yield of CD4 and the volume fraction of CO byproduct are investigated experimentally. The results show that when the temperature is 350 ℃, the volume ratio of D2 to CO2 is 6, and the loading of catalyst is controlled less than 6.4 μmol/(gcat·min), the yield of CD4 is more than 96%, and the volume fraction of CO in the reaction mixture is less than 2.0×10-3.
