Abstract:
The adsorption selectivity of Am, Cm, Cs, Sr, Zr-Nb, Ru, Gd, Eu, Sm, Pm, Nd, Pr and Ce in the system of CH3OH-LiNO3-HNO3-DTPA-anion exchange resin is determined, and the separation factor (βAm/Cm) is found to be 5 as compared to 3 for the old system. Am and Cm can be separated from most fission products including rare earth elements using eluate chromatography. The separation factors of this system between light rare earth elements is obviously larger than those of α-HIBA cation exchange resin.
