Abstract:
The extraction behaviour of Zr in TBP-laurc-hydrcxaroic acid (LHA)-kerosene-HNO3 and LHA-chloicbenzene-xylece-FNO3 systems is studied. The factors influencing the retention cf Zr in organic phase scrubbed by 0.01 mol/1 HNO3 and 5% Na2CO3 solution are also studied. The mechanism of extraction of Zr by LHA is studied preliminarily. The composition of the complex extracted is found to be Zr(NO3)2 (CH3(CH2)10CONEO)2. With the presence of LHA in TBP-kerosene-HNO3 systerr, the distribution coefficient and retention of Zr increase obviously and the tendency towards forming interfacial crud becomes apparent. The retention cf Zr in scrubbed organic phase depends on the ccrcenlraticns cf LHA and HNO3 and the temperature. The retention of Zr increases as LHA increases, When HNO3 of the system is 1 mol/1, LHA in (?)% TEP-kerosene is 3.5×10-4 mol/l and 5×10-4 mol/1, the retention cf Zr is~25% and~ 85% respectively. Put the retention of Zr decreases with increasing HNO3 and temperature.
