STUDY ON THE NONREDUCTIVE SEPARATION OF U AND Pu USING SIMULATING METHODHan Binbing Wu Qiulin Zhu Yongjun(Institute of Nuclear Energy Technology,Tsinghua University,P.O.Box 1021,Beijing 102201)ABSTRACTThe nonreductive separation of U(Ⅵ) and Pu(Ⅳ) is studied using genetic algorithm. A possible process is proposed. The yields of U in organic stream and Pu in aqueous stream are above 99.8%. The sensibility of the yield and content of both U(Ⅵ) and Pu(Ⅳ) in every stream are obtained. Operation flexibility of each parameters is demonstrated. The results of calculation show that the nonreductive separation of U and Pu can be obtained using diluted acid stripping. In this proposed process,the pure U product and UPu mixture for preparation of MOX fuel can be obtained simultaneously.Key words NonReductive separation Genetic algorithm Sensibility Operation flexibility
