STUDY ON TRANSFER KINETICS OF URANIUM () WITH DMHPA BY EMULSION LIQUID MEMBRANEAuthor Han JingtianSun GuoxinBao Borong (Institute of Nuclear Research, the Chinese Academy of Sciences,P.O.Box 800204,Shanghai 201800) Sun Sixiu (Department of Chemistry,Shandong University,Jinan 250100) ABSTRACT The transfer kinetics of uranium () through an emulsion liquid membrane with Di(1methylheptyl) phosphoric acid (DMHPA) as a mobile carrier has been investigated. The experimental results show that more than 96% of the initial U() is recovered. The influence of various factors,such as the concentration of carrier and nitric acid,temperature,on the rate of transfer is studied. The transfer rate equation is experimentally obtained and the superficial transfer energy is calculated. Key words Emulsion liquid membraneDMHPAUranium ()Enrichment
