Abstract:
PRODUCTION OF ~7BE IN THE REACTIONS INDUCED BY INTERMEDIATE-ENERGY ~(12)C IONSZHAO LILI;LI WENXIN; SUN TONGYU;WU DINGQING SUN RULIN;YIN XINMIN;JING GENMING(Institute of Modern Physics,Academia Sinica,Lanzhou,730000)LI XINHUA;LI ZHE;JING KEXING(China Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing,102413)ABSTRACT In the reactions of Mylar,natural Cu or ~(93)Nb with ~(12)C ions at bombarding energies up to47 MeV/u,the radioactivity of ~7Be is measured with off-line γ-spectroscopy. The ~7Be isotopeobserved in this work originates from the processes of ~(12)C projectile fragmentation and targetfragmentation,respectively.The yield of ~7Be is estimated to be 1.1×10~7 Bq/μA·h.The pos-sibility of the production for ~7Be and other radioactive nuclides has been discussed by usingintermediate-energy heavy-ion reactions.
