PREPARATIONANDSTUDYOF68Ge┐68GaGENERATORSEPERATIONOF68GeFROMGaBYADSORPTIONONSILICAGELTangQimingZhaoGuizhiLuoWengboLiDakang(DepartmentofIsotope,ChinaInstituteofAtomicEnerge,P.O.Box275(43),Beijing102413)ABSTRACTInordertoextract68Gefromthesolutionofthegaliumtargetbombardedbyprotonbyadsorptiononsilicagel,thedistributioncoeficientofgermaniumandadsorptionratioofgal-lium,copper,zincinsulphuricacidaredetermined.Basedontherelationshipsofthedistribu-tioncoeficientofgermaniumwiththeconcentrationofgermanium,sulphuricacidandgali-umintheinitialsolution,0.4μg/mLgermanium-0.28mol/Lgalium-9mol/Lsulphuricacidareselectedtobetheoptimalcompositionoftherawmaterialsolution.Thentheresultsofaseperationprocessaredetermined,inwhich,the10mm×30mmsilicagelcolumnisusedastheadsorptioncolumn,50mLasthevolumnoftherawmaterialsolution,30mL9mol/Lsulphuricacidastheeluent,and0.85mL/cm2minastheflowrate.Thebreakthroughofgermaniuminthisprocessis0.39%,andthedecontaminationfactorof72Ga,64Cu,65Znonsil-icagelis1.8×106,5.0×106,2.6×106respectively.KeywordsSilicagelSeperation68GeGa
