Abstract: The experimental procedure for ion exchange separation of Am, Cm, Cf and Y by elution with α-hydroxy-isobutyric acid has been described. Using this technique, satisfactory separation for these elements has been obtained. The effect of pH value and concentration of the eluant on elution peak positions has been investigated in order to obtain an interested element at the convenient position required.
