~(189)W衰变的新γ射线

    • 摘要: 用14MeV中子辐照天然锇靶,发生 ̄(192)Os(n,α) ̄(189)W反应。采用化学分离法分离钨,在HPGe探测器测得的钨样品的γ射线单谱中观察到了可归因于 ̄(189)W衰变的22条γ射线。发现其中的18条γ射线是未知的新γ射线。

       

      Abstract: NEW GAMMA RAYS FROM THE ~(189)W DECAYYANG WEIFAN;ZHAO ZHIZHENG;MOU WANTONG;LI ZONGWEI;ZHU SHAOFEI;XIE XIUJUN(Institute of Modern Physics,the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Lanzhou 730000)ABSTRACT Radioactivities of~(189)W are produced through an ~(192)Os(n,α)~(189)W reaction. The ~(nat)Os targetsare irradiated with 14MeV neutrons. Gamma ray spectroscopy from the chemically separatedtungsten sources using an HPGe detector has revealed the presence of twenty-two gamma rayswhich can be assigned to the decay of~(189)W.
