Abstract:
To control the path of Np in 2A contactor when using NaNO2, well-defined con ditions for recovery and purification of U, Pu and Np from Purex medium-level liquid wastes (2AW and 2DW) are proposed. The experimental results show that 92-95 % of the Np in 2AF can be transfered in to 2AW and the recovery of Np in 2AW stream for Np and Pu is over 99% and U over 99.99%. In the 2N stripping contactor recovery of Np is 99.5-99.9%. Separation factor of Np from U (i. e. SFU) is 1.4×104-1.6×104, and SFpw, 1.5-13.
