SPECTROPHOTOMETRICDETERMINATIONOFMICROAMOUNTSOFURANIUMINROCKSWITHDMPAQYingMinChenYiwen(DepartmentofChemistryandChemicalEnginering,HunanUniversity,Changsha410082)ZhangXiaominZhouYufenHuangXiaowu(DepartmentofAppliedChemistry,EastChinaGeologicalColege,Nanchang344000)ABSTRACTThecolorreactionofuranium(Ⅵ)withanewlysynthesisedreagent,5-(4-dimethylaminophenylazo)-8-hydroxyquinoline(DMPAQ),hasbeeninvestigated.InamediumofTri-tonX-100andpH7.0~9.0bufersolution,U(Ⅵ)reactswithDMPAQtoformastablecom-plexwithamolarratioof1∶2.Thecomplexexhibitsamaximumabsorptionat515nmwithanapparentmolarabsorptivityof5.6×103m2/mol.Beer′slawisobeyedintherangeof0—2.0μg/mLofU(Ⅵ).InthepresenceofCyDTA,mostcommonionsdonotinterferewiththedeterminationofU.TheproposedmethodisappliedtothedeterminationofmicroamountsofuraniuminrocksaftertheseparationbyTBPchromotography.Theresultsaresatisfactory.KeywordsUranium(Ⅵ)5-(4-Dimethylaminophenylazo)-8-hydroxyquinolineSpec-trophotometry
