THE REMOVAL OF RADIOACTIVITY FROM LANTHANUM OXIDE I.DETERMINATION OF THE RADIOACTIVE IMPURITIES IN LANTHANUM OXIDE

  • 摘要: 为了除去以独居石为原料生产的氧化镧中的α放射性,首先必须对氧化镧中的放射性杂质元素进行鉴定。本文叙述了对氧化镧样品所作的α谱分析和γ谱分析的方法和结果。实验表明,在氧化镧中存在着三个天然放射系中的所有长寿命核素,其中~(227)Ac的子体是最重要的。利用γ能谱法和萃取-液闪法测量了氧化镧中的~(227)Ac的含量,两者的结果是一致的。
    Abstract: The radioactive impurities in La2O3 must be determined in order to remove them.α-spectroscopy and γ-spectroscopy analysis of the lanthanum oxide samples have been carried out. The results of the experiments indicate that there are all long-live nucilides of the three natural radioactive series in La2O3. The most important nuclides are the daughters of 227Ac. The content of 227Ac in La2O3 is measured by γ-spectroscopy analysis and extraction-liquid scintillation counting. The results obtained from these two methods are concordant.
