BIOSORPTION OF URANIUM AT LOW CONCENTRATION BY ANABAENA AZOLLAEZhang Xiaozhi Luo ShanggengYang Qun Zhang Huaili Li Jinying(China Institute of Atomic Energy,P.O.Box 275(48),Beijing 102413)Shi Dingji(Beijing Institute of Botany,The Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100044)Wang Wenqing(Department of Technical Physics,Peking University,Beijing 100871)ABSTRACTAbsorption of UO2+2 from dilute solution by anabaena azollae is completed within 2 minutes.The optimum pH is among 5-8.5,which suggested that UO2OH+ is the major form to be bound by anabaena azollae.Li+、Na+、K+ and NH+4 or F-、Cl-、SO2-4 and NO-3 have not obvious effect on the absorption of uranium.Cu2+、Cd2+、Mn2+ and Zn2+ decreased the absorpted capacity of uranium by anabaena azollae.Fresh cells of 3.5-4.5 g/L (in dry weight) is able to attenuate uranium in simulated wastewater from 5.5 mg/L to 0.05 mg/L after 4-7 serial experiments.Key words Anabaena azollae Biosorption Uranium(Ⅵ) Simulated wastewater
