SEPARATIONOFTANTALUMFROMTUNGSTENBYLIQUID┐LIQUIDEXTRACTIONLiZongweiZhaoZhizhengYangWeifanMouWantongYangYongfengCaiXicheng(InstituteofModernPhysics,theChineseAcademyofSciences,Lanzhou730000)ABSTRACTArapidradiochemicalseparationprocedureisperformedusingradiochemicalseparationmethodandγ-spectrummeasurementtechnique.Intheprocedure,tantalumproducedby14MeVneutronsbombardmentofnaturaltungstenisextractedbyisobutylmethylketonefromtheHF-HNO3solution.TheexperimentalresultshowsthatthisseparationprocedureisrapidandeficientforseparatingtantalumfromthemixedsolutionofHF-HNO3byisobutylmethylketoneandthedecontaminationfactorsaremorethan104.Atthesametime,theprocedureisalsousedtoseparatetantalumfromtungstentargetsbombardedwithintermediateenergy(18O).Themeasuredγspectrumshowsthattantalumhasbeenseparatedfrommostelementsproducedinthenuclearreactionsexceptforlesselements.KeywordsHeavyionnuclearreactionLiquid-liquidextractionRapidchemicalseparationγspectrumDecontaminationfactor
