Abstract:
The sorption behavior of UO
22+ on two kinds of zirconium phosphate was studied by batch technique. The sorption of UO
22+ on Zr
2O(PO
4)
2 , ZrP
2O
7 is strongly dependent on pH; and weakly dependent on ionic strength at moderate concentration (10
-1-10
-3mol/L). The experimental results indicate that the sorption behaviors of uranium(Ⅵ) on the two kinds of zirconium phosphate are obviously different, and are determined by the sintering temperature and the mole ratio(
r=
n(PO
4)/
n(Zr)). While in the presence of fulvic acid, the sorption of UO
22+ on Zr
2O(PO
4)
2 at relatively low pH (pH<4.5) is enhanced, however there are no significant influence on the sorption of UO
22+ on ZrP
2O
7 in the presence of fulvic acid. It is also very interesting that the effect of catechol, phthalate and salicylate on the sorption of uranium(Ⅵ) to Zr
2O(PO
4)
2 and ZrP
2O
7 is found to be week.
