Abstract:
Biosorption is a promising technology in uranium-containing wastewater treatment field. Many researches have been done to get better biosorption technology. Penicillium digitatum was chosen as the biosorbent for adsorption of uranium from wastewater. A series of factors, such as the reaction time, pH and temperature, which might influence the biosorption, were studied systemaically by static adsorbtion test. The results show that acidity of the solution is the main factor. Its uranium uptake capacity is up to 155mg/g wet weight (25℃) when the initial pH is 4. The adsorbed uranium can be eluted quantitively with aqueous Na
2CO
3 or NaHCO
3 solution. It is found ideal results by treating uranium-containing wastewater.
