Abstract
Cationic polyacrylamide(CPAM) was selected to treat the waste water with 50% solid sediment from soil-washing process. It was found that CPAM still performed well under the condition of strong acidic turbid liquid. With the relative molecular mass of 14 million and the ion density of 30%, and at mass concentration is 13 mg/L, CPAM exhibits the best flocculation performance, which reduces the content of solid sediment to 6% within one hour.
