    210Po Emission Level in a Cement Plant

    • 210Po spontaneous deposited on silver foil. Using α spectrometer measured the specific activity of 210Po in raw materials, additives, and cement production during the production technology process of the cement plant. The specific activity of 210Po in raw material and additives varies from 5.42 to 901.59 Bq/kg. The specific activity of 210Po in cement production is range from 22.71 to 124.74 Bq/kg. According to the input output balance, the maximum emission is 7.55×1010 Bq/a; the normalized emission is 5.67×1010 Bq/Mt.
