Abstract
Batch and column experiments are conducted to obtain the migration rules of plutonium in clay. The results show that 239Pu is strong adsorbed on the clay. Under the conditions that water flow rate is 0.61 cm/d, the loaded 239Pu is transported a distance less than 0.2 cm after 150 d. Comparison with the dynamic experiments, the retardation factor calculated by the sorption distribution coefficient is small, the dynamic experimental results is closer to the actual environment.
