    Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Cleaning of Uranium Cutting Scrap

    • Supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2) has been used to clean the residual coolant on the uranium cutting scrap. The results show that the removed amount of residual coolant depends on the cleaning temperature, pressure, time, etc. The results also show that the cleaning efficiency for residual coolant can be further improved while ultrasonic wave is introduced into SCCO2 . Therefore, supercritical carbon dioxide cleaning assisted by ultrasonic may be a good method for cleaning the coolant on the uranium surface.
