Abstract
The rate of forward extraction of U(Ⅵ) from 6Mhy-drochloric acid into tributylphosphate (TBP) in cyclohexane and backward extraction of the complex UO2C12·2TBP have been measured using the single drop technique. The rate of forward extraction is proportional to U(Ⅵ), and TBP20, while that of back extraction to UO2Cl2·2TBP0 and TBP-1 0. The apparent activation energy for the reaction has been calculated and a reaction mechanism is presented.
