Abstract
The method of neutron activation analysis for determination of extractable organic halogen (EOX) in milk has been established. The detection limits are 55 ng, 24 ng and 7 ng for Cl, Br and I, respectively. The EOX concentrations in milk samples from various regions in China have been determined by the established neutron activation analysis. It is found that the contamination of organohalogen in milk can not be ignored and that the contamination in Southern China is higher than in Northern China.
