STUDY ON THE SYNTHESIS PROCESS OF CD_4

    • The atmospheric tracer gas CD4 is synthesized by methanation of CO2, using NiMo/γAl2O3 as catalyst. The effects of reaction conditions, such as temperature, volume ratio of D2 to CO2, and loading of catalyst, on the yield of CD4 and the volume fraction of CO byproduct are investigated experimentally. The results show that when the temperature is 350 ℃, the volume ratio of D2 to CO2 is 6, and the loading of catalyst is controlled less than 6.4 μmol/(gcat·min), the yield of CD4 is more than 96%, and the volume fraction of CO in the reaction mixture is less than 2.0×10-3.
