COMPARISON OF THE COLLECTING EFFICIENCY AT THE SURFACES OF DIFFERENT MATERIALS FOR THE RECOILS OF IODINE

    • The collecting efficiency at the surfaces of different materials for the neutron deficient iodine isotopes produced by bombarding natural Ag with a beam of 12C at 67. 4MeV has been investigated.By increasing the roughness of surface and changing the chemical properties of the surface, the collecting efficiency has been found to be increased by a factor of 2 - 3 and 3 -10,respectively.
