    SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SOLID COORDINATION COMPOUNDS OF RARE EARTH,URANYL AND THORIUM PICRATES WITH QUINALDINIC ACID N-OXIDE

    • The Solid coordination compounds of rare earth, uranyl and thorium picrates with quinaldinic acid N-oxide having the compositions Ln2 (Pic)3·(ANO)3·3H2O, UO2 (ANO)2 and Th2 (Pic)3·(ANO)3·5H2O (Ln = La,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Er, Y;Pic- =picrate anions)are synthesized in non-aqueous solvents. These coordination compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV spectra, X-ray powder diffraction analysis. Besides,the thermal stability and molar conductance of the coordination compounds are also discussed.
