    STUDIES ON SORPTION OF URANIUM ON Fe(OH)_3 IN A SALT ENVIRONMENT

    • With batch tests sorption behavior of uranium on Fe(OH)3 in saturated Nad solution is investigated. Experiments show that sorption ratios of uranium decrease with increasing liquid/solid ratios ( V/m ). For low uranium concentration,sorption isotherms are linear in agreement with the empirical Freundlich equation c, = KD·ceqn ,and the concentration of uranium sorbed on Fe(OH)3 decreases with the increasing mass of absorbent.
