INVESTIGATION ON THE FORMATION OF TRIMER OF DIBUTYL ACID PHOSPHATE AND TRIBUTYL PHOSPHATE IN 60Co-IRRADIATED TBP SYSTEM

In this work, a main unknown radiolysis product with high complexing capacity is separated and purified by means of extraction and column chrornatography. The purity of the product is identified by TLC. The structure and some chemical behaviors of this product are investigated.The results of IR and MS and other classical chemical analyses show that the product is a trimer containing a skeleton of two TBP molecules and one DBP molecule i. e. TBP·TBP·DBP.
