AN UNDECANE ACID DERIVATIVE OF A CYCLOAMINE AS A POTENTIAL MYOCARDIAL IMAGING AGENT

    • In order to search for a new myocardial imaging agent, trans-5 ,7 ,7 ,12 ,14, 14-hexamethyl-N, N''-di (undecane acid) -1,4,8, 11-tetraazacyclotetradecaneContinued on p. 64) (Teta-DUA) and its diethyl ester (Teta-DUAE) are synthesized and characterized in this study. The complexes of these ligands with99To, 99mTc-Teta-DUA and 99mTc-Teta-DUAE are prepared by the reduction of 99mTc07 with stannous chloride. The highest heart uptakes of 99mTc-Teta-DUA and 99mTc-Teta-DUAE in Swiss mice are 0.09% I. D./heart, 0.90% I. D./gram heart muscle and 0.16% I. D./heart, 1.4% I. D./gram heart muscle respectively, which occur at 10 and 30 minutes after intravenous injection respectively.
