STUDIES OF THE REACTION OF UO_2(TTA)_2·TBP WITH N503 AND TOPO BY TITRATION CALORIMETRY

    • Titration calorimetry is used to determine the thermodynamic function (ΔH, Igβ, ΔG, ΔS) of the addition reaction between UO2(TTA)2,TBP and N503 or TOPO in toluene. A ternary synergistic effect is found in the systems. The adduct species are found to exist in the form of UO2(TTA)2 · TBP· N503 and UO2(TTA)2 · TBP ·TOPO.Synergism is interpreted as due to the expansion of the metal coordination sphere.
