PROGRESS ON THE NUCLEAR CHARGE DISTRIBUTION IN FISSION IN THE LAST DECADE

    • The progress on the nuclear charge distribution in low energy fission of actinide is reviewed briefly. The improvements in existing radiochemical and physical techniques have resulted in a great number of new results of independent yields in the last decade. From all available data concerning nuclear charge distribution in fission, the new Zp and A'p empirical models, which describe, respectively, charge dispersion for constant mass number and mass number dispersion for constant atomic number have been developed. The variation of parameters in empirical models with the Z, A, and excitation energy of the fission nucleus indicates the some systematic trends for nuclear charge distribution in low energy fission.
