THE GAS-JET TRANSPORT EFFICIENCIES FOR THE FISSION PRODUCTS

    • The gas-jet recoil transport system has been used to transport fission products from the 14.8 MeV neutron induced fission of 238U. Nitrogen was used as transport gas and KCl as a cluster producer. The fission product activities were stopped and retained in the column of charcoal or the trap of polyester fiber filters. Most of the overall transport efficiencies were determined to be 40-70%.
