THE ISOTOPIC EFFECT OF THE U(Ⅳ)-U(Ⅵ) ELEC-TRONIC EXCHANGE REACTION IN HYDROCHLO-RIC ACID SOLUTION OF HIGH CONCENTRATION CONTAINING CATALYSTS

    • The isotopic effect of the U(Ⅳ)-U(Ⅵ) electronic exchange reaction is measured in hydrochloric acid solution of high concentration by means of equilibration in batch. This value equals 1.0014±0.0003 and is in agreement with Woodward's and Hutchison's results which are measured in hydrochloric acid of low concentration. When using the catalyst Fe2+ for accelerating U(Ⅳ)-U(Ⅵ) electronic exchange reaction, the equilibrium time decreases remarkably.
