DETERMINATION OF U, Th, 226Ra IN ENVIRON-MENTAL WATER BY Fe(OH)3 PRECIPITATION-TBP LEVEXTREL RESIN CHROMATOGRAPHY

    • A method for the determination of U, Th and 226Ra in environmental water is reported in this paper. Samples are separated by Fe(OH)3 precipitan-tion-TBP levextrel resin chromatography. U and Th are determined by Arsenazo Ⅲ spectrophotornetry. 226Ra is concentrated by co-precipitation with BaSO4-PbSO4 and determined by emanation technique. The recovery rate for U, Th, and Ra are 92.3±1.7%, 93.3±5.5% and 95.3±6.69% respectively. The lower limit of detection for U and This 7×10-8g/l, and for 226Ra is 1.7×10-3Bq/l.
