    DETERMINATION OF TRACE URANIUM IN ATMO-SPHERIC PRECIPITATION OF THE XlANGJlANG RIVER VALLEY BY FISSION TRACK METHOD

    • In this work the uranium contents in atmospheric precipitations in the region of the Xiangjiang River valley have been measured by fission track method, which range from 0.008 to 1.5 ppb. The majority of them are below 0.1 PPb. The uranium contents in the samples from different geographical positions are obviously different.Sometimes the differences in uranium contents of the samples from the same area collected at different times are also great A preliminary discussion is given on the sources of uranium in atmospheric precipitation and the reason of the difference in contents
