STUDY ON THE STABILITY OF URANIUM(Ⅲ) ION IN HYDROCHLORIC ACID SOLUTION.

    • Uranium (Ⅲ) solution is obtained by reducing uranyl ion with liquid zinc amalgan. The stabilities of U(Ⅲ) ion in hydrochloric acid with and without organic solvent are investigated in the presence of air and nitrogen atmosphere. Preliminary results of determining the distribution ratio of U(Ⅲ) in the TOPO-HC1 extraction system are presented.
