STUDY AND APPLICATION OF COMPLEX CATION SELECTIVE ELECTRODE FOR DETERMINATION OF URANIUM

    • A new type of ion-selective electrode (ISE) with response to the complex cation UO2(DMSO)2 5+ is described. The electrode membrane is made of PVC containing the associate UO2(DMSO)5 (Φ4B)2 as electroactive material. The electrode has linear response within the concentration range 10-1 to 10-4 M. In combination with preliminary separation of uranium using a TBP-extrel-resin the electrode can be used for the determination of uranium in various samples. The results are in good agreement with those of chemical analysis.
