Abstract
The sorption behavior of Pu on Fe, FeO, Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 powder are studied with batch experiment at ambient temperature. Sorption experiments are performed under atmospheric and anae-robic conditions (in an argon glove box with an oxygen content of less than 5×10-6). The experimental results show that the sorption ability of Pu on Fe, FeO, Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 powder is increased with increasing pH value(1.0~10.0) of the aqueous phase, and decreased with increasing carbonate ion concentration (4.0×10-3 mol/L~1.0×10-1 mol/L) in the aqueous phase. The oxygen concentration of the experimental conditions has less influence on the sorption of Pu on Fe, FeO, Fe2O3, and Fe3O4 powder. The sorption isotherms of Pu on Fe, FeO, Fe2O3, and Fe3O4 powder can be well described by the Freundlich’s equation.
