LOW TEMPERATURE ADSORPTION OF RADiOKRYPTON ON ACTIVATED CHARCOAL IN PRESENCE OF NITROGEN AND HYDROGEN

    • Krypton was adsorbed on activated charcoal from dilute mixtures with nitrogen and hydrogen. Two types of cocoanut charcoal were used as adsorbents. The adsorption of krypton has been investigated by radioindica-tion at dynamic state. Adsorption temperature was -170℃. Total pressure was 1 atm. The results of adsorption were described at krypton concentration from 0.22-0.86 ppm., flow rates from 0.05-0.15m/sec and different ratios of volumes of H2 and N2. Adsorbent capacities for krypton and krypton enrichment factors were determined for various conditions of operation.
