    Preparation of 2AF Solution by Electrochemical Method Ⅱ. Electrooxidation of Pu(Ⅲ) to Prepare 2AF Solution

    • In order to electrooxidate 1BP to prepare 2AF solution, electrolytic experiments of plutonium solution were carried out with platinum as anode and titanium as cathode at constant current in electrolytic cell without membrane. In the feed composed of 3.0 mol/L nitric acid, 0.15 mol/L methyl hydrazine (MMH), 0.10 mol/L N , N-dimethylhydroxylamine(DMHAN) and 3.0 g/L Pu, the Pu(Ⅳ) mass percentage can exceed 99.7% and the Pu(Ⅵ) mass percentage is less than 0.3% after electrooxidation at current density 10-30 mA/cm2 and 2.6-3.1 V. MMH and DMHAN are destroyed entirely and there is no need to add any other chemicals in the process.
